2013/2014 Season

The 2013/2014 season was Chelsea’s first trophyless season for three years. Fifth round exits in the cup competitions were a disappointment, as was finishing third in the Premier League having been at the helm for longer than any other side. Champions League semi-finalists and Super Cup runners-up were likewise nothing to celebrate.

But there was still reason to celebrate, with it being the year Jose Mourinho returned to the Club. This has been very much a nurturing season, with the likes of Andre Schurrle bought and blossoming at the World Cup, whilst the earlier acquisitions of the likes of Eden Hazard have continued to blossom under the Portuguese.

Here are all the posts from the season. Navigate your way through the months and then click the score-line of the relevant match report you wish to see.

For more nostalgia, my posts from a Champions League-winning 2011/2012 season can be viewed here, whilst the equally successful Europe-conquering 2012/2013 season can be viewed here.
