February proved to be another very testing month for all at Chelsea, and it was the last full month of Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea.

A disastrous slip-up from a commanding 3-0 lead over Manchester United, eventually managing to just about cling on to a point, together with an opprobrious display in losing to Everton, Andre Villas-Boas was on rocks. His last Premier League match of the month proved to be his penultimate, ending on a 3-0 win against Bolton, but doing little to quash discontent.

The FA Cup adventure continued with a tie against Birmingham City, but an uneasy draw at home furthered fans’ anger.

This would have been even stronger felt in the Champions League. Having just scraped it through the group stages in the last group stage match, Chelsea were handed a tricky tie in Naples. Matters were made worse when AVB decided to drop some senior players in Lampard, Cole and Essien, leading to a 3-1 demise.
